Edinburgh Marathon 25th May 2008

The Edinburgh Marathon takes place on 25th May 2008 which is a bank holiday weekend.

To cater for the charities, The 'Hairy Haggis' Team Relay was introduced to give athletes of all abilities the opportunity to run along the same course of the marathon without having to run the 26.2 miles individually. Teams of four will run splitting the marathon distance between them. The longest leg will be approximately 8 miles and the shortest leg will be approximately 5 miles.

To date we have interest from some of our co-workers and students in Jesuit schools. The Edinburgh Marathon provides the perfect opportunity to form a series of teams to compete against each other and raise funds for the Mission's projects.

Funds raised through the event can go to any current project. If your school or parish is twinned with a project overseas we are happy for funds to be directed to that specific project.

Runners will be expected to make their own way to the race, and we are currently seeking accommodation for the event.
