Barlborough Hall’s link has been extended to include Makumbi Primary School. This enables children of a similar age to learn about each other’s lives.
Despite a lull in communication, Donhead’s connection with St. Mary’s continues. Recently the pupils of Donhead learnt a little about South Africa and a faith that does justice.
A cheerful greeting is always a good start to getting to know someone. Mwabuka, the Tonga word for good morning, is the name of the link between The Mount and Chikuni Mission and is the gateway to getting to know each other.
Connected in more than name, these two schools are exploring the early stages of their partnership.
St. Ignatius are raising funds to support St. Joseph’s Secondary School, in South Sudan. It is hoped that a number of girls and returning refugees will be able to benefit from bunk beds in the school’s hostel.

Chiwirangwe refers to the coming together of two villages to unite against a common enemy. Today, these schools are united in fighting poverty and injustice.
