Zambia, like so many other African countries, is struggling to come to terms with the terrible poverty and diseases that are sweeping the continent, leaving its wonderful people with very little hope for the future.

93% of the 10.5 million inhabitants of Zambia live under the poverty line and with life expectancy at just 35 years there is a desperate need for the people of this country to find a way for themselves that will help them build a bright future.

In the Chikuni Parish, 75% of the population are under the age of 18 and so this future lies in their development.
